Dessert Pizzas Recipes That Kids Will Love

Pizzas don’t have to be for dinner. Make them for dessert! Swap out the normal pepperoni and sausage toppings for candy, marshmallows and caramel. For the crust, you can use regular pizza dough or go with a sugar cookie or brownie base – and still use your circular pan for baking. October is the perfect time to experiment with pizza. Not only is it National Pizza Month, but it’s also cold enough that you want to heat up the house with a warm oven and the smell of something delicious baking. If your kids are cinnamon roll fans, try the deep dish cinnamon streusel pizza. For a serious sweet tooth, go with the chocolate chip pizza, the chocolate cookie pizza or caramel apple dessert pizza. Better yet, try several pizzas instead of making just one!

Deep Dish Cinnamon Streusel Pizza

What about all the flavor of cinnamon rolls and a homey pie all wrapped up into a slice of pizza? This deep dish cinnamon streusel pizza recipe from a Pinch of Yum has a thick layer of creamy brown sugar topped with crunchy streusel. After the pizza is baked, drizzle with a maple syrup frosting.

Chocolate Chip Pizza

Sheet pizza and brownie bars collide. The result? This chocolate chip pizza recipe from The Girl Who Ate Everything. Have your kids help you roll out a refrigerated thin pizza crust and once it’s baked, pour yellow cake mix that’s been drenched in melted butter and then peppered with semi-sweet chocolate chips. Mmm.

Chocolate Cookie Pizza

Start out with a shortbread-like crust. Bake and then slather a chocolate frosting almost to the edges. Here’s the fun part – generously sprinkle pecans, coconuts, candy-coated chocolates and anything else you can think of to finish off this chocolate cookie pizza from Betty Crocker.

Caramel Apple Dessert Pizza

This caramel apple dessert pizza from Taste of Home begins with a sugary dough that you bake until just barely crisped. Mix room temperature cream cheese with brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. Arrange sliced Granny Smith apples on top and then make a design of caramel to finish off this decadent pizza.

Rocky Road Pizza

Use regular pizza dough as the base of this rocky road pizza recipe from MyKidsEatSquid. Before baking, add plenty of Nutella on top along with mini marshmallows, chopped almonds and chocolate chips. Let the smells of sweet pizza fill your kitchen and enjoy the pizza once it cools.

Butterfinger Bites Brownie Pizza

This Butterfinger bites brownie pizza, originally from the Very Best Baking starts as if you were making a brownie. Spread out the batter onto a pizza pan and bake until crisp. Immediately place chocolate chips on the brownie pizza and then spread them with a knife once they begin to melt. Put Butterfinger bites on top of the pizza. Slice away. Your kids will likely want more than one piece.
