Holiday Stamping Favorite Supplies from Stampin’ Up

For the past few weeks we’ve dedicated a few of our Make It posts to favorite crafty gift ideas for the holidays this year. This week we’ve got another roundup of favorites, but this time focusing on paper crafting supplies. It’s not too late to place an online order of stamps, papers and punches from Stampin’ Up, one of my go-to craft supply companies. Their holiday craft offering is vast, from classic Santa stamps to beautiful snowflake papers. Take a look at some of my favorites this year that you can use to surprise your children or offer to them as a crafting opportunity.

This Tree Punch paper punch is perfect for the holidays, but could be used any time of year when looking to add green trees to a scrapbook or journal design. With the locking feature, as all Stampin’ Up punches utilize, it doesn’t take up a lot of room to store when crafting is done. It retails for $16.95.
For the stamp lovers out there, you may have a preference when it comes to wood block-mounted stamps versus clear-cling stamps. I love both, but I tend to favor clear for the holidays – so as not to take up too much storage room once the holidays are over. My favorite stamp offerings from Stampin’ Up this year were the “Get Your Santa On” set (cute name, isn’t it?) as well as the “Visions of Santa” set, a more modern take on the jolly ol’ soul. Both sets are packed with stamps and offer a variety of larger images paired with phrases and smaller shapes. They’re about $15.95 each.
Following the modern Santa theme, this pack of designer “Santa & Co.” paper offers two designs scheme on each side of the 12-by-12-inch sheets. Perfect for cards and journaling! A pack of 12 double-sided sheets (two of each design) is about $10.95.

The phrase stamps that come in each set of the stamps featured in this roundup make for great gift tags to top your family’s gifts this year!

Quick Greeting Cards

With a pack of paper and a set of stamps, it takes no time at all to make a quick handmade card to add to a holiday gift. A piece of scrapbook paper cut to 5 inches wide by 10 inches tall, then folded in half, is the easy basis for a square card that you can then add a cute stamped front to.

Santa Calling Cards

If you surprise your child with a gift from Santa himself, then the adorable “boots stuck in the chimney” stamp found in the “Get Your Santa On” set makes for a cute calling card on those presents. Simply stamp the image onto white cardstock and slip the card under the bow on the special gift.
