Paper-Themed Crafts from Chronicle Books for Kids

These three reads by the popular publisher are out in fall 2013. Add a bit of fun to your DIY collection with jewelry and iron-on guides, plus pretty patterns.

Paper-Themed Crafts from Chronicle Books for Kids

I always enjoy seeing what's new from Chronicle Books, probably the go-to source when it comes to crafty books for the whole family. They've got DIY projects covered for the tiniest of crafters up to the most seasoned artists. It's no surprise that their 2013 lineup, popping up this autumn, is looking more than promising. While we just wrapped up end-of-school parties and are busy thinking of summer plans, make a mental fall book list with this week's Make It. With a theme of paper, these books promise to have creative minds racing when they arrive at your doorstep in just a few months!

Punch-Out Paper Jewelry

I loved Creativity for Kids craft sets growing up. It's no wonder that when I saw this book, my mind immediately returned to those kits, thanks all the hands-on activities and supplies I spotted after a flip through the book. They're all prime for fashioning some new baubles.

Old-School Iron-Ons

What's old is new again, and that's definitely the case with this DIY iron-on book. The small T-shirt transfers not only make a plain top exciting; they also can be applied to any cotton surface. Why not start thinking about tote bags and sweatshirts to decorate for this fall's wardrobe?

Print & Pattern: Kids

Print & Pattern is one of the great blogs you turn to when you're looking for some crafty fun. Thanks to this new book with a kids-only spin, you've got inspiration at your fingertips no matter where you are. Have fun with color and design as you think of upcoming art projects.
