Favorite Crafting Tool: Xyron Sticker Maker

Kids can whip up their own designs and stick 'em up anywhere they please with this cool go-to project maker that's a staple for family fun

Favorite Crafting Tool: Xyron Sticker Maker

Some of my favorite crafting tools I've had for years and are now my go-to staples in my craft closet. The Xyron sticker maker is one of them. Available in a variety of sizes, the sticker maker creates permanent and repositionable stickers from 1 1/2 inches up to 5 inches. The creation units are even available in charity options, like this pink ribbon for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. I love that the sticker makers are fun for crafters of any age. What might your children create?

1. To start, cut a small piece of paper (or other materials) no larger than the allotted size for your sticker maker. For this one, it makes 1 1/2-inch stickers, so I punched smaller circles of colorful paper to turn into stickers. Insert the paper into the opening of the sticker maker.
2. As you insert the paper into the sticker maker, pull the adhesive end to activate the sticker maker rollers. The paper-and-adhesive combo sandwiches the paper and applies the adhesive.
3. As you insert the paper, make sure not to put them too close together. You'll run the risk of the stickers overlapping one another.
4. After the sticker has been pulled out of the sticker maker, rub the clear plastic to the paper and backing to activate the adhesive.
5. Pull the clear plastic off – your stickers are ready!
