Have RV, Will Travel Cross-Country – For Family Fun
This brood had been-there, done-that in Michigan. So they rented a mobile home and hit Fort Knox, Florida and more. A local teen shares her story.
This is a story from summer of last year. My family went to all of the possible kid-friendly attractions in Michigan. So we decided to rent a mobile home.
We started off in Michigan; then we drove past Indiana and then through Chicago and stopped at a deli called Romanian. It is a great tasting kosher deli (if you are ever close by, get the garlic dogs). Then, we stayed in Kentucky for a night and went to Fort Knox in Kentucky, where the United States keeps all its gold.
There was not much to see in Tennessee and Alabama, so we drove right past those. Finally we reached Florida. The first thing we did was went to Disney World. We stayed at a hotel close by and went back and forth for five days so we could visit every "island."
Next, we went to Cape Canaveral and saw a space shuttle. Later, we went on a duck tour around West Palm Beach and Seaworld in Orlando.
Finally, we drove back up to Michigan in about a week, because we stayed in hotels and went to some attractions we missed on the way there.
In conclusion, we had a lot of fun over the summer and we hope to have an even better summer this year.
