The Motor City is home to more than one sort of wheels! From old-school skating arenas sporting modern day fun for kids to a true explosion of cool skate board parks, this region is peppered with awesome ways to zoom zoom by foot – whether you're a pro or need a few from-scratch lessons. From metro Detroit to Ann Arbor, along with Macomb County and Oakland County, check out some of the best destinations for fun on a roll.

Bonaventure Skating Center Farmington Hills

On a budget? Take the family to open skate on Wednesday nights, when admission is only $3! Enjoy group rates, Friday night gospel skate and new dance classes to learn ballroom, Chicago Step and Latin Hustle.

Lincoln Park Skating Center

This roller skating rink offers private and public skating sessions, along with lessons, events and time set aside for family skate.

Northland Roller Rink

This family spot claims to be the largest skating rink in Detroit. Its rockin' style, skate shop and both private and public skates make it a perfect place for a family outing.
