New Baltimore Art on the Bay

This two-day fine arts and crafts show has Lake St. Clair as its backdrop. Browse through the work of more than 100 artists, sample food from local restaurants and hear live music.

Old St. Patrick Labor Day Festival

Kids activities include a petting zoo, face painting, a rock-climbing wall, hatchet throw and inflatables. Also enjoy live stage performances, a country store, used bookstore, silent raffle and more.

Michigan Renaissance Festival

The 16th century comes to life, from the scenery to the clothing, at this annual festival. Each weekend features a different theme (see the Metro Parent calendar listing for a theme list – this special three-day weekend, it's "High Seas Adventure"); plus, a live armored jousting competition, a children's "realm," live entertainment, including mermaids and puppet shows, and food. Festivalgoers are encouraged to dress up in their medieval best.

Get a sneak peek of fall: The Franklin Cider Mill will be open! The annual family fun here, which is marking a 70th year, includes a parade, midway games, petting farm, pony rides, classic car show, magician, rock climbing wall, Lego city, Detroit Tigers' Paws, food and more. You can also find a new furry friend, as rescue dogs up for adoption also make an appearance.

Target Family Day at Henry Ford Museum
