50 Shades of Green Holiday Exhibit at Matthaei Botanical Gardens in Ann Arbor

Nature's hue takes center stage in the holiday conservatory display 50 Shades of Green at the University of Michigan Matthaei Botanical Gardens. The exhibit, which opens Nov. 30 and runs through Jan. 5, showcases the conservatory at Matthaei and its extensive collection of tropical, temperate and desert plants from around the world and touches on art, science, environmental issues and others to illuminate the many meanings of "green." The family-friendly event also features a seasonal flower display, a large holiday tree constructed entirely of poinsettias, workshops, a kids program (fee applies) and an exhibit of green-inspired student and community art in a variety of media.

Note: Closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve. Open 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on New Year's Day.
