Description

Abstract expressionism was the first specifically American art movement to achieve international influence and put New York City as the new center of the western art world. Drawing on works from the FIA’s permanent collection, along with important loans from regional museums, the exhibition surveys the art movement from its origins in the post World War II period to the latest developments in the 21st century. The museum is open as follows:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: noon-5 p.m.
  • Thursday: noon-9 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Sunday: 1-5 p.m.

Cost Free/members, $7/adults, $5/students (with ID) and seniors
