African American History Day at Detroit Historical Museum

Description

Bring the kids to this Detroit musuem's annual celebration of Black History Month to enjoy history, storytelling by the popular Ivory D. Williams (at noon) and even a caricature artist. Your family can learn from many of the historical organizations in the area (including the Tuskegee Airmen – African-American pilots in WWII – and black history-related neighborhood groups) and find gifts and items for sale from the musuem's Artists Market throughout the venue. Refreshments are available for purchase too.
