If you do want to take a walk back in time, join Ann Arbor Cooks! to bake bundt cakes and whoopie pies. Popularized during the 50s and 60s in America, the bundt cake evolved from a traditional European fruit cake called Gugelhupf. The whoopie pie is believed to have originated with the Amish in Pennsylvania. The farmers would open their lunches and upon seeing the cream filled cakes, they yelled “Whoopie!” Working along side your child, we’ll spend the afternoon baking these yummy treats and send you home with recipes and leftovers.
|Cost||$65/parent and one child, $85/parent and two children|
