| Description |
The Association of Independent Michigan Schools (AIMS), a consortium of independent schools including Academy of the Sacred Heart, Cranbrook Schools, Detroit Country Day School, Eton Academy, The Roeper School and others, will present The Prep School Negro, a film by Andre Robert Lee about his experiences as a scholarship student at Germantown Friends. He chronicles what he gained and what he lost in terms of identity from his time there. A light dinner will be served at 6 p.m., followed by the film at 6:30 p.m. The director will be present to lead a discussion following the film. |
