This exhibit takes a nostalgic look at leisure activities before the advent of television, during a time when Americans had a slower-paced life style. The exhibit features the period 1900 to 1940, with vignettes highlighting common family activities such as picnics, singing around the organ, listening to radio programs, and participating in sporting activities such as bicycling and croquet. Throughout the Museum's Main Street, historic items from our extensive collections will be highlighted, including paper dolls, comic books, games and fishing lures made in Plymouth.
Note: The museum is closed most holidays. Call before your trip.
