Did you know that there are actually more than just five senses? The sensory system consist of seven categories including proprioception, tactile, vestibular, visual, auditory, gustatory and olfactory senses.These next four senses are perhaps the most commonly known ones; however, it’s important to know how the information obtained from these senses integrates into our everyday lives. This discussion will focus on how these four senses give our bodies sensory information and how to identify when there are disruptions in the processing of this information.
