There is something for everyone at the 36th Annual Greater Rochester Heritage Days. The festival, which celebrates the community's history, traditions and culture, is chockfull of old-fashioned family entertainment.
The popular and comical Great Lakes Timber Show headlines the festival's entertainment offerings. This exciting lumberjack exhibition returns this year with logrolling, ax throwing and chainsaw carving during several performances each day. Classic car aficionados will enjoy the return of the Rochester Lions Club car show. Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve's Crafts Along the Creek show will feature dozens of vetted local artists and a variety of hand-crafted items ranging from jewelry to photography to children's clothing and garden decorations.
The festival also has several fun and engaging activities just-for-kids, including the popular Pioneer Homestead and Playground with stilts, gourd bowling, a bean-bag toss and more; face painting, camel rides and a petting zoo will also be available. Times are as follows:
