Michigan Opera Theatre Children's Chorus Performs 'Brundibar' at the Detroit Opera House

Description

Originally performed by children of the Theresienstadt concentration camp, this stage show is about a brother and sister who befriend a sparrow, cat and dog to outsmart Brundibar, an evil organ grinder.

Also, special guest Ela Weissberger, a concentration camp survivor from Theresienstadt who played the role of Cat in the original show, will be present to tell her story about how music and art helped her survive.
