Old Time Maple Sugar Festival at the Gerald E. Eddy Discovery Center in Chelsea

Description

It’s time for that traditional rite of spring – tapping maple trees. At the Discovery Center, learn how maple syrup is made, enjoy a pancake and sausage breakfast at the Chelsea American Legion Post 31. Guided walks will show various methods of collecting sap and how it is boiled down to make syrup. Watch a film about the process and see actual tools for making syrup on display from the Waterloo Farm Museum. Maple products will be available for purchase. Advance registration required.
