Kooky scientists, animals that talk, and a Raven that disguises itself as a human are all part of Stephen Most’s play Raven’s Seed, a wacky nuclear comedy presented on the streets of Detroit by Matrix Theatre Company. The show is a comedy about the effects of nuclear power gone awry. The plot unfolds as actors wearing masks, used to depict the forest’s animals, initiate a revolt against two scientists whose insane plans for nuclear energy are about to annihilate the earth. Because the show is performed outside, the performance schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather. Bring a lawn chair, if you would like to sit at the performance locations.
