Spring Open House at River Raisin National Battlefeld Park in Monroe

This open house features special guest presentations by Genot Picor who will delight visitors young and old with his performance of Metis (French and Native American) stories, songs and dances. Event activities include living history encampments, musket demonstrations, military drills, mini-militia’s, 1812 games and historical demonstrations of cooking, gardening, medicines, clothing, archaeology digs and much more. Major Muskrat will join the activities if  he deems the weather suitable. Sponsored by the Friends of the River Raisin Battlefield in cooperation with the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation.
