The decision to divorce is never an easy one and the process, once in motion, can be confusing and overwhelming, even for the most educated and independent women. These challenges were the impetus behind the creation of the newly formedWomen’s Divorce Resource Center (WDRC), a non-profit organization, which aims to inform and empower local women who are contemplating divorce, or are currently navigating through its various legal, financial and emotional aspects. In addition to providing online resources, WDRC will host regular educational seminars to provide information and resources to women considering divorce or in the early stages. Experts in legal, financial and family counseling services will be on hand to offer advice and tips to attendees. The cost includes refreshments and workshop materials. Pre-registration is required. Women can register in advance online or by calling the number below.
