Cirque Dreams Holidaze in Detroit

Take part in some Christmas dreaming – full of flying gingerbread men and acrobatic ornaments – at this show swooping into Detroit Dec. 13-18, 2011

Round up a sleigh-full of some of the world's most talented artists, musicians, acrobats and performers, dress them up in dazzling holiday costumes against a glittery backdrop, and what do you get? Cirque Dreams Holidaze 2011 at the Fox Theatre in Detroit!

From the creators of the Broadway hit Cirque Jungle Fantasy comes a holiday celebration of whimsical dreams and musical adventures for the third year running. All of the wonderment that Cirque Dreams delivers year after year is wrapped up in holiday cheer and tied with a big Christmas bow, giving your family the perfect gift of the season.

Prepare to be amazed as ornaments come to life, gingerbread men fly through the air and little toy soldiers balance their way along a thin, winter wire. The performance contains over 100 eye-catching costumes that light up the stage, original holiday music to fill the majestic theater and of course, some old favorites that the whole family can sing along to.

With a cast of 30 multitalented artists, surprises keep coming as the crew astonishes you against an extravagant backdrop of gigantic gifts, massive candy canes and a magical 24-foot tree – filled with live decorations! Take the family to experience this theatrical presentation full of energy, talent and holiday amusement.

The show is in town Dec. 13-18, 2011. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 8 p.m. Friday, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, and 1 and 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets range $20.50-$65.50.
