The Best Christmas Pageant Ever in Waterford

A family of rowdy kids takes control of their town's Christmas pageant, causing a hullabaloo and a whole bunch of hilarity. This show runs Nov. 30-Dec. 16, 2012.

This Christmas, shake up tradition with The Best Christmas Pageant Ever! at the Starlight Theater in Waterford, Nov. 30-Dec. 16, 2012.

The witty play, an adaptation of the 1971 Barbara Robinson novel of the same name, tells the story of the "horrible" Herdman kids and how one year, they take over the town's Christmas pageant.

The Herdman children are the worst kids in the world. These kids lie, cheat, curse and steal. They've never been to church, either, until one of their peers mentions the free dessert he gets when he goes to Sunday School.

The unruly Herdmans decide they ought to check this Sunday school thing out and before they know it, they've become an integral part in the upcoming Christmas Pageant. Of course, chaos ensues.

The whole family will connect with the kid-friendly humor and the story will leave audiences with a greater appreciation for what the holidays really mean.

The Starlight Theater is a community theatre group based in Waterford whose past performances include Much Ado About Nothing, Little Women and Beauty and the Beast Jr.
