Our Greentopia, Berkley's Eco-Friendly Boutique

This family-owned store in Oakland County features everything from home and kitchen items to things for babies and kids

Want to live on the green side? Our Greentopia, a new eco-lifestyle boutique in Berkley, offers earth-friendly products that let families do just that.

"In our environment, what we eat, touch and breathe all have a direct effect on our health," explains store owner Katie Reiter, a Southfield native. So you'll find everything from cutting boards and soaps to organic rattles and toxin-free crayons.

Our Greentopia

About 25 percent of Our Greentopia's stock is for kids, with brands like Piggy Paint water-based nail polish, EcoKids, Earth Mama Angel Baby and Maple Landmark. It even carries toys made from recycled milk jugs.

Find all-natural bath products, too, and baby and toddler clothing (newborn to about 4 years). There's also a line of organic teas for expecting and postpartum mothers, as well as organic coffee and boxed water.

Reiter, whose youngest child just went off to college, said her favorite product is the bamboo baby blanket. "They're just so soft."

Prices for eco-friendly baby and kid products range from about $4 to $50.
