Camp Fire Southeast Michigan has a new Summer Resident Camp program this year at Camp Wathana!
In partnership with Camp Valor, a group of camp counselors with a background in game theory and adventure camps, an exciting camp experience for boys and girls aged 9 to 16 is being offered.
Two sessions will take place: session #1: July 14-27 and session #2: July 28- Aug. 10. The cost is $895 for two fun-filled weeks. The fee includes all meals and activities with no other hidden costs.
Camp Valor's program combines traditional camp activities with contemporary adventure games that appeal to today's kids. Campers will team up to defeat their opponents in such games as Capture the Flag and Storm the Beach – challenges that focus on building cooperative and creative problem solving skills.
Nestled in north Oakland County, just south of Holly and an hour north of Detroit, Camp Fire's Camp Wathana is a picturesque campground with a rich history of thousands of children's laughter and giggles. It is a place where children come to explore nature and themselves and leave a little more grown up than when they came. Surrounded by beautiful scenery of woods, a stand of Tamaracks , bogs, fields and two glacier lakes children become explorer's and environmentalists the minute they step into the world of Camp Wathana.
