Kids Camps

Continuing Detroit Country Day School's premier private school tradition, our Summer Programs maintain our high standards. Our program is extensive, ranging from academics, activities, arts, and athletics. Our goal is age appropriate programs that are educational, fun, challenging, and safe.

The academic programs are designed to challenge the "gifted" and "talented" as well as serve those looking to improve fundamental skills. Each program offers individualized instruction by DCDS faculty and staff.

For three to nine years old, the activity programs offer a unique experience that will challenge and intrigue. Consisting of six one-week sessions created and instructed by DCDS teachers, each session provides a hands-on experience aimed to stimulate and motivate your child. The sessions offer a variety of themes and adventures that incorporate academics, creative activities, and arts and crafts.

The Leadership Academy will help middle school age students to develop the foundational philosophy, vision, character, ethics, and skills necessary to becoming a successful student and lifelong leader whether their focus is formal or informal leadership. We also offer challenging chess, Lego, animation and life skills programs.

Give your child the opportunity to explore their artistic talents whether it is in the fine or performing arts. The art programs are created with the purpose of building confidence in their skills in a fun and supportive environment.

There is a long tradition of athletic excellence at DCDS and this summer is no exception. Join members of the Yellowjacket coaching staff to learn the fundamentals and skills for lacrosse, soccer, and climbing as well as an all-sports camp for the elementary age athlete. We are also pleased to host the Beverly Hills Racquet Club's Junior Tennis Camps designed for all levels of play.
