Bring your child to Detroit Country Day School for a summer of growth, fun and enrichment!
Continuing Detroit Country Day School’s premier private school tradition, our Summer Programs reflect our high standards. Our extensive program offerings encompass academics, activities, arts and athletics. We provide age-appropriate programs that are educational, fun, challenging and safe.
For three to nine years old, the Summer Programs at our Lower School Campus on Maple Road offer a unique “camp” experience that will challenge, intrigue, motivate and delight your child. Each week long session is created and instructed by DCDS teachers, and include stimulating and motivating hands-on experiences. The sessions offer a variety of themes and adventures that incorporate academics, arts and crafts, sports and creative movement.
For middle school age students, the Leadership Academy develops the foundational philosophy, vision, character, ethics and skills necessary to become a successful student and a lifelong leader, whether the student’s focus is formal or informal leadership. Challenging chess, LEGO and animation programs are also offered.
Academic programs are designed to challenge the “gifted” and “talented” as well as serve those looking to improve fundamental skills. Each program offers individualized instruction by DCDS faculty and staff.
Fine and performing arts programs give your child the opportunity to explore and refine their artistic talents. Art programs focus on building skills and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.
Athletic programs continue the long tradition of athletic excellence at DCDS. Join members of the Yellowjacket coaching staff to learn the fundamentals and skills in field hockey, soccer, dance and climbing, as well as an all-sports camp.
Summer Programs are held at Detroit Country Day School campuses in Bloomfield Hills and Beverly Hills. For more information, please visit www.dcds.edu/summerprograms, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 248-430-1665.
