Geiger Ballet is excited to announce its 2013 summer programs.
APPRENTICE CAMP
July 8-12 (Cinderella Theme) and Aug. 12-16 (Nutcracker Theme) 9:45-11:30 a.m. Ages 4-6 $115 per week
Does your child dance around the house on their toes pretending to be the Sugar Plum Fairy? Then this would be the perfect summer camp for them. Each day the children will have a ballet class, make crafts associated with a ballet theme, and learn stories of the great ballets. Parents are invited to watch their children in a mini-performance at the end of each week.
JUNIOR INTENSIVE CAMP
July 15-19 (Nutcracker Theme) and July 22-26 (Coppelia Theme) 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Ages 7-plus 1 Week: $299, 2 Weeks: $500
The junior intensive is a great opportunity for returning students to stay in “ballet” shape during summer vacation. It is also a perfect time for new students to experience classes at Geiger Ballet. Students who participate in both weeks of this intensive will present a mini-performance at the end of the second week.
SENIOR INTENSIVE CAMP
July 29-Aug. 2 and Aug. 5-9 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Ages 11-20 with minimum three years previous ballet training 1 Week: $399, 2 Weeks: $650
Each week features a guest teacher. Ashley Bouder, principal dancer with the New York City Ballet joins us the first week and Luba Gulyaeva, former soloist with the Kirov Ballet joins us the week of Aug. 5. Classes offered during this program are ballet technique, pointe, variations, modern, contemporary, character and yoga. Students will present a showcase for family and friends at the end of each week.
