Here at iTutorToday, we have a fun-filled week planned for our Spring Break Day Camp. Camp hours run from 9 a.m.-noon and are open to students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. The theme for this year’s camp is Olympics! We have fun activities planned in the areas of math, language arts, science, social studies and more. Students will have a fun, interactive learning experience, have the opportunity to make new friends, and keep their minds learning and growing while they are out of school. We are so excited to share our summer camp program with you. We will have a different theme each week throughout the summer. Themes for the 2014 Summer Camp season include Rainforest, Wild West, America and Passport to Learning. Students will continue learning and growing with the fun filled math, science, language arts, social studies and technology lessons every day! Call us today at 586-649-2323 to register!
After speaking to the Humane Society about their needs, we created dog treats. The treats were given to the local Humane Society in Rochester for our furry friends. The children learned about needs in their community.
Students created patterns in their bracelets and rings woven on a loom. The pattern was counted out and placed on the loom before it was woven. Students had to count and look for the pattern before weaving. All ages participated in the pattern and fine motor skill activity.
The lap blankets made for a local nursing home were measured to size so they did not get stuck in wheel chair wheels. The ties were measured and cut to allow for the correct number of ties on each side. All ages participated in this measurement/geometry activity.
