The Festival's broad audience and safe atmosphere offer sponsors a unique opportunity to reach a strong family oriented market, resulting in measurable advertising benefits and excellent business opportunities. The Belleville National Strawberry Festival Board is committed to working with the community in an ever expanding partnership of corporations, businesses and individuals. We will effectively promote sponsor recognition and community involvement through television, radio, print and direct distribution media. This reaffirms the Festival's appreciation of sponsor support.
It is these efforts, combined with an outstanding Festival line-up that makes the Strawberry Festival a well-attended and received event in our community.
In 1976 a local farmer approached area community leaders with the idea of starting an annual event promoting the strawberry crops.
With the assistance of the Belleville Area Chamber of Commerce, local strawberry growers and Saint Anthony's Catholic Church, the Belleville National Strawberry Festival began that same year. With the vision and goal of assisting Belleville's community service organizations with their fundraising efforts, the National Strawberry Festival has successfully raised funds for over 40 community service organizations.
For three days each year, the Belleville National Strawberry Festival transforms the town of Belleville into a strawberry wonderland. The Festival attracts over 200,000 people from throughout Southeastern Michigan with free entertainment, attractions and events, not to mention every type of strawberry treat imaginable. The Festival truly is the ultimate for having a berry good time!
