What our readers had to say about Carol Afflerbaugh, M.A., CCC/SLP, BCBA:

"Carol always has an open mind a different approach and never a negative moment. Failure or giving up was never an option! While so many gave up before her or had no answers she offers HOPE and determination. Carol and her assistant Lindsay have helped my son have a voice, more confidence, better behavior, and a better way of life. I want the world to know to never give up as Carol showed our family and many more." – Mechelle, Chesterfield

"Carol runs an unique therapy program at Kaufman Children's Center. Her program and one of its many successes were just featured on Fox 2 News. She has a vast knowledge base and is an expert in Applied Verbal Behavior. As the number of autistic children increase at an alarming rate, her program gives parents hope. The program at KCC has numerous success stories in a time when parents are desperate for help, hope and support. It would be a shame to overlook Carol and her amazing staff at KCC for what they do each and every day to impact the lives of children with special needs." – Sharon, Farmington Hills

What our readers had to say about Jason Ferrise, M.O.T.:

"Jason has made radical, positive changes with our son in a short amount of time. With every session, I feel the weight of my worry being lifted. I'm overcome with joy and happiness for my little guy! Thank you for your continued commitment in the field of Occupational Therapy." – Carrie, Tecumseh

What our readers had to say about Magda Girao, OTRL:

"Magda is incredible and has changed the life of our daughter forever. Magda and the staff at Kaufman Children's Center have been wonderful to work with. My daughter LOVES going to see Miss Magda each week to "play." We have seen huge strides towards the goals that have been set and have truly been amazed!" – Esther, Oak Park

What our readers had to say about Diane Nancarrow, M.A., CCC/SLP:

"Ms. Diane has worked with my 16-year-old hearing-impaired son, Schuyler, since he was 3 years old. She is never at a loss for providing challenging new lessons for Schuyler. He has grown from a child who could not stay on task for one minute to a child that looks forward to his 30-minute sessions twice a week. Schuyler does not trust easily and Ms. Diane has earned not only his trust, but his love. He loves the computer and she searches for computer programs that will strengthen his abilities without focusing on his deficiencies and protecting his self-esteem in the process. He has flourished under her care and as his mother I can't thank her enough for all she has done to help my child grow into a mature young man." – Charlotte, Beverly Hills

What our readers had to say about Chris Purgatori, MOT, OTLR:

"To our son he is just "Mr. Chris," a cool buddy to play with each week. To us he is a patient, caring and knowledgeable professional dedicated to helping children become the best that they can be. It shows in the progress we've made with our son and family as a whole. Chris is a wonderful OT! The Kaufman Center is an exceptional place for special kids and their families. We are so fortunate to live nearby as some people travel from out of state to this facility!" – Jen, Birmingham
