At Suburban Eye Care we have three specially trained doctors to help you preserve, improve, and protect your vision.

Dr. John Jacobi has successfully diagnosed and treated many children and adults with strabismus (turned eyes), amblyopia (lazy eyes), and vision related learning problems for the past 20 years.

Dr. Sheldon L. Smith is one of the top Low Vision practitioners in Michigan and the country. Low vision care involves restoring visual function to people with significant loss of sight.

Dr. Sally E. Hoey began working at our office in 1996 as an optometric technician and in 2008 joined our practice as an optometrist to continue her lifelong goal of helping individuals of all ages.

At Suburban Eye Care, P.C. we offer comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens evaluations, and over 1,000 frames to choose from along with the latest lens technology.

Our office specializes in vision therapy and low vision. During vision therapy sessions we retrain our patient’s brains to coordinate their two eyes together. Using low vision devices we are able to maximize sight among individuals who have experienced a decrease in their sight due to macular degeneration, glaucoma or other eye diseases.
