The P.L.A.Y. Project:
An internationally recognized, evidence-based program that uses home consultants supervised by Dr. Solomon to teach parents play-based, intensive intervention techniques that are very effective in helping young children with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) gain language and social skills.
Everyday Social Skills:
Everyday Social Skills groups are typically divided by age; 9 to 11 years old and 12-15 years old. Kids who might benefit from this program are those with High Functioning Autism, Asperger's or Pervasive Developmental Delays. Each group lasts six sessions, over the course of six consecutive weeks.
The Ann Arbor Center for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics provides diagnostic assessment and treatment services for children with developmental and behavioral concerns including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties and developmental delays.
The Ann Arbor Center is also home of the original P.L.A.Y. Project, an evidence-based early intervention program for young children with autism (18 months – 6 years). The P.L.A.Y. Project takes a playful approach, costs much less than ABA and VB, and is effective. Under the direct supervision of Rick Solomon, MD, an autism specialist with more than 20 years experience, home consultants coach families to be their child's best PLAY partner, allowing the child to climb up the developmental ladder and reach their full potential.
The P.L.A.Y. Project® is a community based/regional autism training and early intervention program dedicated to empowering parents and professionals to implement intensive, developmental interventions for young children with autism in the most effective and efficient way.
