Romulus Pumpkin Festival at Romulus Historical Park

The annual Romulus Pumpkin Festival kicks off the fall season Sept. 20-21, 2019, with a parade, pumpkin rolling and more.

Fall means a few things: leaves change color, sweaters become the preferred clothing – and pumpkins are everywhere. Your family will find plenty of that big orange fruit and fall fun at the Romulus Pumpkin Festival, happening Sept. 20-21, 2019 at the Romulus Historical Park.

This annual September festival officially opens at 4 p.m. Friday with crafters and food vendors. Live music kicks off at 6 p.m. that night, followed by the Parade of Lights, which will begin at Romulus City Hall, at 8 p.m.

Saturday the festivities start at 8 a.m. with the pancake breakfast with Boy Scout Troop No. 872 until 11:30 a.m. From 11 a.m.-4 p.m., the Crusin’ 2019 Car Show will make its way down Goddard Road, so go see all of the great cars there.

The true fall fun starts at 11 a.m. with pumpkin painting, craft and food vendors. And, a little later at 1 p.m., it continues with the Pumpkin Pub, children’s games and the Punkin’ Chunkin event.

Stick around Saturday from 5-7 p.m. for the spaghetti dinner at Community United Methodist Church, located at Olive and Bibbins streets, along with a live performance by Just A Few Cats.

There’s so much in store – and something for everyone, especially for those who love the autumn season. Admission is free. Gates open 4 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. Saturday.
