Clarkston Independence Fest at Clintonwood Park

Celebrate America's Independence on July 4, 2019, at the annual Fourth of July community celebration, Clarkston Independence Fest.

Whether you like craft shows, musical performances, parades or fireworks, the 2019 Clarkston Independence Fest at Clintonwood Park has something for all ages on July 4, 2019.

Start your Fourth of July festivities by picking a spot along the streets in downtown Clarkston for the annual parade at 10 a.m. It’s themed to “Let Freedom Ring” and steps off from St. Daniel Church to Clarkston United Methodist Church.

Directly after the parade, make your way to Clintonwood Park for a chance to say thanks to the brave men and women who fought for our right to celebrate this day at the Veteran’s Celebration.

Then, let your kids run wild on the inflatable bounce houses and rock wall, or challenge them to one of the carnival games on site – perhaps winner (or loser) could get’s their face painted?

For grown-ups, this annual offers a craft show that features the work of 40 local crafters and the chance for dog adoptions through Canine Companions Rescue Center. And speaking of dogs, there’s even a Disc Dog competition going on, too.

Live music by Your Generation kicks off the evening festivities at 7 p.m. and a massive fireworks display ends the entire shebang at 10 p.m.

From start to finish, this massive party lasts 12 hours, from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on July 4th. Admission is free, but nominal ticket fees do apply for inflatables and other activities. Parking is $5 before 2 p.m. and $10 after 2 p.m.
