Brookfield Academy's mission is to instill in our students the confidence and desire to achieve their goals with a positive foundation in education to last a lifetime. Brookfield Academy graduates are prepared for the challenges of top Middle and High School programs, possessing higher-order thinking skills and work habits resulting from proven Montessori methodology, which approaches each child as an individual learner.
We address sequential steps in academic growth through careful assessment, allowing children to move ahead at their own pace within a carefully planned and prepared peaceful environment; fostering a sense of responsibility and independence in every child. We strive to offer a broad, meaningful education encompassing the mind, culture, emotions, social interactions and practical life skills of each student.
We proudly offer the highest standards in Montessori education with programs beginning at the Toddler level through our Pre-Primary, which includes Kindergarten, Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary through fifth Grade.
At Brookfield Academy children build friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
Music and movement is an important part of the Montessori classroom. Learning music happily involves body, mind and spirit; therefore, music can be a highly integrating force in the development of the child's personality. Singing gives practice in language, new words, poetry and historical and other cultural information.
The toddler program at Brookfield Academy fosters the sensitive periods for language, movement and order through the curriculum and schedule of the day. We provide an invigorating and developmentally fulfilling environment, supporting the young child's need for discovery and independence.
"By the age of three, the child has already laid down the foundations of his personality as a human being . . ." – Dr. Maria Montessori
