The Howe School is an independent, college-preparatory, co-ed boarding school affiliated with the Episcopal Church for grades 5-12. Set on a 100 acre park-like setting, the school is located in northeast Indiana’s beautiful lake country.

The Howe School curriculum focuses on five strands in which to promote leadership. The strands include military, Science and math, the arts, communications and the humanities. All students will exit The Howe School with a portfolio that will demonstrate their practical experiences in leadership education. Howe’s cadets learn how to transfer the benefits of military discipline, organization and leadership to their college and career path. Howe’s JROTC program has been recognized since 1921 as a program ‘with distinction’.

Howe has a rich and well balanced cadet life which includes a comprehensive athletic program that builds both a strong body and a student’s self-confidence carrying with it varying degrees of honor and responsibility representing Howe and the cadet corps. The athletic program, at Howe, prepares students for a lifetime of physical fitness. Howe has a full extra-curricular program which now includes football.
