Basic Stir-fry Sauce for Chinese Dishes |

| Ingredients: | 3/4 tsp. cornstarch 1/4-1/2 cup chicken broth 2 Tbsp. soy sauce 1 Tbsp. white grape juice, white wine or water 1 tsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. sesame oil (optional) 1/2 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar (optional) |
| Directions: | Place all ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a gentle boil. The sauce will thicken (about 3 minutes or so). Whisk constantly. Add vinegar if you want to give the sauce a tart flavor. You can also substitute dark soy sauce for a richer flavor. |
