"Presenting the further adventures of everybody's favorite hero – the man who is faster than lightning, stronger than steel, smarter than a speeding bullet – it's Super Grover!"

Ever wonder what would happen if this famed caped crusader lost his superness? We shudder at the thought, too. But that's exactly what happens when Elmo's Super Heroes comes to Detroit at the Fox Theatre, Jan. 26-Feb. 20, 2012.

The entire gang – including Elmo, Abby Caddaby and Big Bird – is on a mission to help Super Grover get his super stuff back in this Sesame Street Live show. While Sesame Street Live has been touring since 1980, this is the first time Elmo's Super Heroes comes to town – and the production promises all the songs and silliness of all your favorite characters.

The group sings and dances their way through important lessons on healthy living – encouraging kids to eat right, exercise and maintain good hygiene.

Ticket prices range from $12 to $65, but families wishing to catch a weekday matinee or one of the family nights – Jan. 27, Feb. 2 or Feb. 9 – will pay only $10. Plus, if you catch the show on Feb. 20, you'll get 50 percent off and pay $6, $10, $12.50 and $17.50. Most performances take place Thursday-Sunday, but there is a Wednesday performance on Feb. 1. Show times vary.

See the Metro Parent listing for more on Elmo's Super Heroes at the Fox Theatre.
