Fairy Tale Fest

Magical music, theater, puppets, crafts and more storybook fun await at the July 23, 2011 event in Grosse Pointe Shores – sponsored by Metro Parent!

If your kids need proof fairytales are real, be sure to attend the July 23, 2011 spectacle at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores. The Fairy Tale Festival, sponsored in part by Metro Parent, is a day of fun, theater, storytelling and creative exploration for kids and adults alike.

There's a magical mix of fun in store. The Michigan Philharmonic plays a variety of classics, while the Magic Carpet Ride Theatre spins tales from Brothers Grimm. Add to that puppet shows, marimba bands, storytelling and Radio Disney's animation station, where kids can make and take crafts.

Kids also can play croquet with Alice in Wonderland's Queen of Hearts, visit the three little pigs outside their houses of straw, sticks and bricks, or step into Cinderella's Carriage, compliments of The Parade Company. Don't miss this unique chance for parents and kids to step into a storybook!
