Amy Hengstebeck, O.T.L.R.

Kaufman Children's Center
6625 Daly Road, West Bloomfield
"Miss Amy has done OT with my 8-year-old son for nearly three years. He is diagnosed with sensory processing disorder and needs support for gross motor, as well as fine motor. She is phenomenally creative in her approach with him. She keeps him constantly engaged by tailoring activities to his interests, including creating obstacle courses that have him exploring volcanoes or building models of snakes and skyscrapers. He absolutely adores her and looks forward to his weekly sessions with her. He has shown amazing growth in his physical capabilities since we have started with her. His teachers at school constantly remark about his achievements, and we believe they are in no small part attributable to Miss Amy's efforts. We can't say enough wonderful things about her!" – Amy, Bloomfield Township

She shares stories of motherhood about her own two sons, which makes her even more approachable – and reminds me that I am indeed dealing with another mother, not just a hurried pediatrician." – Rachelle, Detroit
