Ann Arbor Art Fairs in Downtown Ann Arbor

One of the area's most anticipated summer festivals is back, July 17-20, 2013. Head to Tree Town with the family for four art-filled fairs – and lots of fun!

What's better than one art fair? How about four all at the same time! Ann Arbor becomes a hotspot for family fun and fine art when the annual Ann Arbor Art Fairs return, July 17-20, 2013.

The fairs, which attract more than 500,000 visitors each year, include "The Original" Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, The State Street Area Art Fair, The Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair, and Ann Arbor's South University Art Fair.

This year, "The Original" Ann Arbor Street Art Fair celebrates its 54th year with 1,100 artists. There will be art demonstrations, hands-on art activities for kids at the Art Activity Zone and music, too. The Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, located on North University Avenue, not only earned a Governor's Award from the state, but also was dubbed No. 1 art fair in the nation by AmericanStyle Magazine.

Head over to The State Street Area Art Fair to find a great mix of a ton of artists lined up along East Liberty, Maynard, State Street, Thompson, William and part of North University. Plus, you can find a few information booths in this area if you have questions.

Swing by The Summer Art Fair, boasting 375 booths. Plus, don't miss entertainment at the iSPY Performance Stage. This enjoyable stretch of the fair actually has two areas: one on State Street, running from South University to William streets, and also on Main Street from William to Huron streets and Liberty Street from Ashley to Fifth Avenue.

Don't miss hitting Ann Arbor's South University Art Fair, either! Located right on South University, pick up official souvenirs and relish in the free entertainment at the main stage.

Admission to the fairs is free. Dates and times are as follows:

  • Wednesday-Friday: 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

To download the map of the fairs, and to learn about parking and shuttle options, visit the art fairs' website.
