Festa Italiana at Freedom Hill County Park in Sterling Heights

Indulge in some mouthwatering Italian eats – and check out live performances at Freedom Hill County Park, July 19-21, 2013

Feast on some delicious Italian food – and enjoy some family fun at Festa Italiana, which hits at Freedom Hill County Park in Sterling Heights, July 19-21, 2013. Take your kids to the family fun zone to play on the inflatables and have a friendly game of putt-putt golf.

Who doesn't love Italian food? Try lots of great food from Andiamo, the Italian American Cultural Society, Nino Salvaggio Market, Picano's, Stroh's, Vito's Bakery and many more vendors!

Don't miss out in the special performance by Lena Prima, as a she does a tribute to her father, Louis Prima. Plus, there is nonstop entertainment all weekend featuring The Gaylords, A Tribute to Burt Bonaldi, Justin Guarini, Italian folk songs by Il Coro Italiano and many more!

Up for a little competition? Enter the meatball contest at 1 p.m. on Saturday or satisfy your sweet tooth on Sunday at the cannoli eating contest at 2 p.m. Show off your adorable little bundle of joy at the beautiful baby contest at 1 p.m. on Sunday, too.

Head out for a Sunday morning mass at 11 a.m.

Hours for the festival are as follows:

  • Friday: 5-11 p.m.
  • Saturday-Sunday: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.

Admission to Festa Italiana is free. There may be some fees for certain activities, performances and food. Call ahead for additional details. Parking is $10 per car.
