Plymouth Art in the Park

Artists from around the country gather each year to showcase and sell beautiful creations to families at this annual event in Kellogg Park, July 12-14, 2013

Some 100,000 people will take over downtown Plymouth to browse – and shop – the work of talented artists during Art in the Park. This 34th annual art event provides aesthetically pleasing displays of woodworking, photography, glass, sculptures and paintings – to name a few.

As one of the largest art events in Michigan, with more than 400 artists from 32 different states, along with food and entertainment, Art in the Park is a can't-miss fest for weekend fun!

The Duck Tape Rolls Across America Tour makes its way to Kellogg Park this year. This interactive display – which happens to be a 31-foot bright green Duck Bus – houses one-of-a-kind outfits made entirely of Duck Tape. Plus, kids can make a Duck Tape craft.

Get the family involved in live interactive fun with My Adventure Theater – where total improvisation and hilarity is sure to ensue. Bring the little ones to the Michigan G Gauge Operation Club display to explore trains and ask all the questions they can think of about railroads and cool locomotives.

Kids can also take part in the children's mural, a piece of art made by lots of tiny hands, including your child's! The mural will be donated to Providence Park Hospital after the event. Your kids can even support others their age by checking out the art made by children around the fountain at Kellogg Park.

Free shuttles are available for anyone who needs a lift. Event times are as follows:

  • Friday: 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

See the Metro Parent listing for more on the 2013 Plymouth Art in the Park.
