Stars & Stripes Festival at Freedom Hill County Park

Celebrate this great nation with live music and military tributes June 26-29, 2014 in Sterling Heights

Load the kids up for some American fun this year at the Stars & Stripes Festival at Freedom Hill in Sterling Heights, June 26-29, 2014.

Over the years, this festival has gained a reputation as one of the largest free festivals and this year, it is expected to draw in around half a million guests for four days of true American fun.

Families can expect a full midway carnival complete with rides, food, games, a BMX show, banana derby, white tiger exhibit, petting zoo, fireworks display and much more!

Over 100 artists – including Bret Michaels, Josh Gracin and Fuel – are set to perform on one of the festivals three stages, and the Fearless Flores will stun the audience with their death-defying motorcycle show.

Stop by to see the Vietnam Memorial Wall, which will be on display for all three days of the festival as part of Salute to America.

The Stars & Stripes Festival takes place from noon until 11 p.m. Thursday-Sunday.

Admission to the festival is free. Single-day ride wristbands are $25. Free parking is available at the Meijer on Van Dyke Avenue with a free shuttle service to the festival.

See the Metro Parent listing for more information on the Stars & Stripes Festival at Freedon Hill County Park in Sterling Heights.
