Sterlingfest Art & Music Fair in Sterling Heights

Arts and crafts collide with music and a midway during this 34th annual event, happening July 24-26, 2014 at the City Center campus

Summer is the season of festivals, and right here in southeast Michigan, there are so many to choose from. This weekend, Macomb County welcomes families to the Sterlingfest Art & Music Fair in Sterling Heights, which takes place at City Center campus July 24-26, 2014.

Now in its 34th year, this fair features a mix of art and music, plus a midway, kids' activities and more.

During the arts and crafts show, families can browse and buy art, including watercolor paintings, sculptures and photographs. Catch jazz, classic rock and Top 40 acts on the Sterlingfest stages. Plus, stop by the Coach's Ice Cream Kidzfest tent for free activities and family entertainment.

Hungry? Sterlingfest's Restaurant Row features everything from barbecue to pierogi. Grab a snack on site. Fees vary depending on the vendor.

Parents can stop by the Suds 'n' Sounds tent for some adult entertainment, too. Grab a beverage and enjoy the sounds of pop and rock bands. The tent is open until 11 p.m. and has a $2 admission charge after 6 p.m.

And if you're a fitness fanatic, register for the SterlingFAST 5K Run & Walk at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Admission to this event is free, and you can enjoy the fun from 10 a.m. till 11 p.m. daily.
