It's a different kind of championship: One with hot air balloons! Head to Howell for the 2011 Michigan Challenge Balloonfest from Friday, June 24 to Sunday, June 26. Held on the ground of Howell High School, this display of hot air balloons – and yes, they are launched into the air! – is quite the sight for people of all ages.

The fun continues with a carnival, arts festival, live performances and so much more. If you and the family haven't had the chance to take part in this event, why not drop on by this year?
