Rosedale June Day

For an 83rd year, this historic Detroit neighborhood hosts old-fashioned fun. The Run for the Roses starts the day; after the 10 a.m. parade, enjoy midway games, pony rides, a moonwalk, food, belly dancing, field games and entertainment.

It's the big fest's big 30th anniversary! Two kids' programs are in store: Tangle (June 19-23), letting tykes loose in a huge elastic-weaving area– and "Superhero" (June 28-30), where projections make it possible for kids to throw balls of light and even "fly." The event packs in 21 nights of kids' fun, too. Watch for Top of the Park favorites, live music, movies and more (plus plenty of shows mom and dad may like).
