Ford Fireworks presented by Target in Detroit

Bring the kids out to the 55th annual spectacular fireworks display on June 24, 2013 for a fun, dazzling show along the Detroit River

Get your wee ones ready for the 55th annual Ford Fireworks presented by Target, set for 10:06 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013. The fireworks take place on the Detroit River and are easily viewed from the Detroit RiverWalk.

This event, formerly known as the Target Fireworks, has been renamed Ford Fireworks in 2013 following the recent announcement of Ford Motor Company's multi-year partnership with The Parade Company.

But all the same fun is still definitely in store! Bring your kids out to see one the world's largest fireworks displays. This annual tradition is sure to entertain and "wow" the entire family. Grab a blanket and head downtown for the awesome fireworks show. (For the latest info on any road closures and parking details, check out The Parade Company's website – via the Metro Parent calendar listing.)

If you can't make it to the RiverWalk, don't worry; view the fireworks from your own home on WDIV-Local 4's live broadcast, beginning at 8 p.m. Plus, tune in to News/Talk 760 WJR for a live broadcast of the event.

Unfortunately it's sold out this year, but – thinking ahead to 2014 – consider the Rooftop Party. Presented by Ford Motor Company, it offers the best viewing area in the city for the firework – on top of Miller Parking Garage, next to the Renaissance Center. The 2013 theme for the party is "One Detroit" and is set to feature food by Andiamo, games, giveaways and a performance by Fifty Amp Fuse. This event is one of The Parade Company's largest fundraisers. This event often sells out early, due to its popularity.
