Art on the Grand in Downtown Farmington

Come see fine-quality art from artists across the country at this fun-filled and unique art fair June 7-8, 2014

Who doesn't love a picturesque view of some fine art while strolling downtown in the beautiful summer weather? Bring the whole family along June 7-8, 2014 for some art and cultural appreciation at Art on the Grand in downtown Farmington.

Your kids don't need dreams of becoming the next Van Gogh or the next Picasso to enjoy this art fair. Let your young ones gain inspiration through the many paintings, sculptures, photographs, pottery and more on display this year. For its fifth annual art fest on the Grand River Avenue, downtown Farmington will feature more than 100 fine artists and crafts along the river, as well as provide hands-on art activities for kids.

Be sure to make a day out of it and explore all the creative artwork. There also will be tons of delicious food options, including outdoor dining at a variety of downtown restaurants, sidewalk shopping and live entertainment for families of all ages.

After kids get their faces painted and visit the live statue, parents can drop by the Grapes on the Grand wine and beer tent open both days and spend some time relaxing in the shade.

You can join the creativity and fun when the art fair takes over the town. The two-day event occurs at the following times:

  • Saturday: 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Sunday: 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

All admission and entertainment is free, and prices for the artwork vary throughout the fair.
