Family Easter Egg Hunts & Seasonal Events in Southeast Michigan

Leading up to the Sunday holiday on April 20, 2014 (and even that day), find tons of local fun events for the kids. Get the scoop in the Metro Parent roundup.

The Easter Bunny is on his way to help you celebrate the season! There are plenty of eggs, goodies and more to enjoy this year, through Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties. Kids, grab a basket to fill at one of the many activities in your area. We've compiled a list of some of the coolest events in southeast Michigan. Take a peek at the details here – and be sure to register in advance, as many of the events do fill up.

Polish Egg Decorating at Polish Art Center

At this Hamtramck spot, kids ages 7-plus can learn how to decorate an Easter egg using the traditional Eastern European style.

Egg Stravaganza at Macomb Township Recreation Center

Hit the Hippity-Hop Trail and visit with the Easter Bunny as well as make crafts, play games and bounce on the inflatables – oh, don't forget to visit and pet the live farm animals! Tickets must be purchased by March 24.

There's tons of fun in store for families including inflatables, music and activities with Ms. Lori, and of course, an egg hunt with prizes. Pre-register via email for this event by March 28.

Saline Spring Craft Show

Spring is in the air – and along with it is the first of many craft shows to come! This annual event features more than 150 crafters from Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. The Easter Bunny will be on hand for the kiddies, as well.

Easter Parade Movie Screening at Senate Theater

Catch a screening of this film from 1948 that stars Judy Garland and Fred Astaire. There's live pre-show music, too, and a free walking tour of the theater organ after the movie.
